Playing dress up is a part of daily life for some pups, but when you live life at the LITTLE DOG RETREAT you get to share your favorite finds with your friends. We recently had the great pleasure of attending “Maestro’s Menagerie” at Teatro ZinZanni in Seattle! The show was amazing and we recommend it to everyone as a fun date night, but the lobby gift shop was a worldwide of super cute, glitzy, girly, masculine and magical delight! Since the Girls didn’t get to attend it was only appropriate to bring them a little something home. We loved the Tussy Mussy locally designed mini-hats with their feather, beads, bows, ribbon embellishments. They were only $32 + tax and they are wonderful for the upcoming holiday season. Even if you don’t see the show check out the store; you won’t be disappointed.

Sushi for Poochie

Sushi has always been a delicacy among certain circles, but now your little pampered pooch can enjoy a well cut meal of their very own. For the sushi lover try a delectable morsel ofBone Maki, Uni, Tuna or Handroll. You can also opt-in for a combo and get a full meal of “Uni-Maki” or “Tamago-Maki” all available in super realistic looking plush toys, complete with internal squeaker.

What a fun way to dine-in with your little fur-baby. Each meal comes with a take out tray and faux seaweed embalmments. You’ll find them at a variety of on-line and physical store locations, but we found the best variety at Sushi Pups, www.sushipups.com. The four piece sets will cost $29 while the two piece sets cost $15. You can also splurge for a few extras to add to your assortments for only $7 each.

These toys are fairly small, so they make a great treat for your little pups. The larger pieces are about the size of a standard wallet, while the smaller egg rolls and fish rolls are closer the the size of three stacked tea-light candles.

The summer fun is a great time to get some of those loose end projects out of the way while the weather is still great. To help your human-hand housemates, try these super realistic tool toys.

Are you a real hard worker? If so,you’ll love these handy-paw tools. Our favorite was the soft, plush Canine Carpenter Toolbox with Tools Set from PetEdge, which comes with a hammer, drill and saw inside of a faux tool box. Each toy makes an authentic sound. An embedded sound-chip allows the hammer taps, the drill screws and the saw saws. Visit the PetEdge website www.petedge.com for more information and a sound sample of each toy. Available as a set for $10.49 or individuals tools are $3.14.

For the serious handy-paw-pup, we found a the silver, Hyper Hardware Hound dog toys including wrench, file, scraper and hammer at www.americaoutdoor.com. Made of strong and durable, non-toxic vinyl they come separately for $6.29 each.

If your pup is more of an enthusiast than perhaps they would rather have a vibrant set of tools. Available through Amazon, www.amazon.com these toys by from Ruff Tools offers a different take on the hammer and wrench look as well as featuring a paintbrush. Made from tear-resistant, non-toxic rubber they are sold separately for $7.95 each.

Summer days are long and what better way to spend a hot day, then inside a fun filled, air conditioned shop. Take your pooch on a shopping spree and come back with their own credit card. Created by Haute Diggity Dog, these super cute plush toys have a internal squeaker for hours of play fun and will be the talk of your canine companions. They are approximately the size of a small wallet and all embellishments are beautifully embroidered. Since I have 3 girls, I felt that they should all be able to enjoy credit with their own; Mercedes has a Barkney’s, Haley has the Barkingdales and little Bridget received the Nordbarks. Also available Arfmerican Barkxpress, Muttsy’s Department Store and MuttsterCard. The Girls love them and I know your tiny fur-baby will too.
